Breakfast: The Most Important Meal of the Day

We work with local farms, making sure that you are getting the best in-season ingredients that San Diego has to offer. Our farm-to-table restaurant concept isn't the only thing that makes us a favored neighborhood breakfast joint in San Diego. We care about what you are eating, so we do our best to offer a versatile menu that covers most dietary restrictions. If you are hoping for a vegan breakfast or a gluten-free breakfast, then Cafe 21 in University Heights (Adams Avenue) or Downtown Gaslamp district location has got you covered! You can never go wrong with items like our Classic Pancakes that can be made to order as gluten-free pancakes or our vegan and gluten-free Overnight Oats, made with golden almond/coconut milk.

Some like to celebrate in the evening, but we know that celebrating in the morning is just as fun! Are you in need of a place in San Diego or Downtown to celebrate anything from a birthday to a bridal shower or maybe you are just a group of friends looking for a good time, then come toast with us! We have fantastic Cafe 21 Mimosas and Sangrias with flavors that cover the color of the rainbow. Not to mention our off-the-wall and freshest of fresh Bloody Marys, one of which served with a grilled cheese sandwich, will guarantee an unforgettable experience!

Cafe 21 is committed to sustainability and a true farm-to-table experience. We work with the best ingredients from locally grown produce, hormone-free grass fed meat, wild seafood, and antibiotic-free Mary's Free Range Chickens. We partner with local organic Tom King Farm, to bring you the freshest, local, seasonal, and organic produce. We love hand making our own sourdough bread, using organic flour and a very special starter named Lola. We make all our food from scratch, with love. *Please inform us of any allergies you may have.
